Now, it is just the perfect opportunity for Indian passport holders to plan a trip to Thailand, as the country welcomes Indian visitors without the need for a visa. Thailand has announced the temporary removal of visa requirements for Indian and Taiwanese travelers, with the goal of increasing tourism in the country.
Beginning the next month and lasting until May 2024, Indian and Taiwanese visitors will enjoy hassle and visa-free entry to the famous tourist destination (Thailand). Also, visitors from both countries can now enjoy the facility of extended stay for a duration of 30 days.
According to Reuters, this decision follows a previous move that eliminated visa requirements for Chinese tourists, who were a significant source of visitors before the pandemic, accounting for 11 million arrivals out of the record 39 million arrivals in 2019.

Thailand received 22 million visitors between January and October 29, 2023, earning 927.5 billion baht (equivalent to $25.67 billion) in revenue.
Malaysian tourists have been the largest group of visitors this year, with over 3 million arrivals. They are followed by Chinese tourists, with 2.65 million tourist arrivals as of October 15, 2023.
It should also be noted that India is Thailand’s fourth largest tourism market, with the country getting 12 lakh arrivals from India till now this year. Visitor numbers of Indian Tourists come right after Malaysia, China and South Korea.
